Switch Your Winter Tires Out for Summer Tires on the Off Season

If you have two different sets of tires that you change between for the cold weather and the summer months, it's best to keep it that way. Winter tires work exceptionally well when the roads are covered with snow and ice. However, you could very well compromise the tread's integrity on your vehicle if you leave them on all year long. The problem with this is, tires are an expensive investment. It doesn't make sense to invest in a brand new set of winter tires, only to wear them out in the warm weather months.

Tires are designed with certain road conditions in mind. The quality of rubber on a snow tire is designed for cold and moisture. The tread is much thicker so you can grip the road properly. A summer tire tends to have a much lower profile of tread.
